Purpose of this modification:
To remove denial system from shift function
Results to expect after successful
competion of this modification:
You should be able to shift into or out of any gear selection without
having to apply the footbrake
Negative side effects of this modification:
Potentialy, you could select a different gear while in motion.

1 Nylon Zip Tie

Locate the control spring shown in the photos below. The one that is
shown being held by a Green Nylon Zip Tie. See the note in the photo
pointing out the original location at the tab.
Disconnect the spring from its tab on the brake pedal. Place a Nylon
Zip Tie in possition as shown and pull the zip tie to apply pressure to
the cable. Tighten the Zip Tie enough that sufficient tension is
against the cable to "retain" it in possition. Test the shift function with the engine at idle. If
you have pulled enough cable, you should now be able to shift without
depressing the footbrake pedal. If not, apply more tension. You can
safely pull the spring all the way until it contacts the pedal pivot
boss as shown in the photo.
If you have done this mod correctly as shown below in the photos, you
are finished. Be careful to avoid altering ANY of the other cables or
springs in that area, you could interfere with the proper opperation of
your rear brake.
